Bob has prepared an analysis of lost profits damages related to an approximately 2,000 unit residential development. The analysis included studying the potential permanent and delay impacts allegedly caused by a defendant’s interference with planned development. The work involved quantifying the alleged impacts into a damages claim and, ultimately, providing testimony.

Bob has led numerous investigations into allegations of accounting improprieties related to public and private companies. Analyses included reviewing the nature, support and substance of accounting transactions, reviewing the adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, and investigating specific claims of accounting impropriety alleged by whistle-blowers and media accounts.

Fraud Investigations – Bob Wagner

Bob has been retained in many cases in which fraudulent activity was asserted. In one particular case the investigation involved alleged illegal acts of a finance administrator of a private university in which it was determined that an individual concealed the theft of substantial sums through the manufacture of fictitious investments. The illegal acts were uncovered through a detailed analysis and reconstruction of financial, investment and accounting records.

Real Estate Analysis and Investigation – Bob Wagner

Bob has been involved in many cases requiring analysis of commercial real estate for purposes of economic analysis and valuation. In two particular cases, his work involved analysis and valuation of commercial office, shopping center and industrial park portfolios worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In one of those cases his work was used to settle a partner dispute concerning overall valuation of many properties. In the other case, on behalf of the Washington State Investment Board, for purposes of evaluating management practices of an investment advisor as well as determine potential economic damages flowing from allegations of imprudent management, his work was used to assist in concluding a nine figure mediated resolution.
